Why Being Water-Conscious in San Diego Matters

Life in San Diego is a life of being water-conscious. If you’ve been living in San Diego your whole life, you may be used to it, but if you’re new to San Diego, it may be an adjustment.

Not only do we need to restrict our water use to keep our supply, it has become expensive to use. The average water bill in California is $72 per month and is the 4th most expensive state. Compare this to the least expensive state for water; Florida, which costs about $6 per month.

Here’s what you can do to keep your water consumption and costs down:

  • Fix any leaks in your sinks, tubs, hoses, etc.
  • Turn the water off when brushing your teeth or washing your face
  • Take a shorter shower
  • Keep succulents that use less water opposed to plants that require big drinks of water daily
  • Use LNDRY to wash your clothes

At LNDRY, it is an important part of our mission to save water. We use sustainable resources that include a significant decrease in water-usage than the typical washing machine.
